This home was designed for a family who wanted to create a true New England style residence. Key to the success of the project are the architectural features and finishes traditional to homes in New England, USA. The house is clad in over 10,000 individual cedar shingles that were each hand painted 4 times to achieve the correct finish. 

The plan arrangement was specifically designed around family living with even specific booths within a shared boot room for each of the families’ 3 children to hang coats, school bags and other items in. Even the family dog was considered in the layout and the specific shower provide for the family pet simplifies family life which is often centred around the outdoors.

The interior of the home has a wonderfully warm feel with rich timber tones within and bespoke wall panelling. A double height front entrance hall leads to an open plan kitchen, diner and living room as well as a separate lounge equipped with open fireplace.
